    Dear Mr Lauchengco

Just wondering whether you plan to hold concerts in Australia and New Zealand for your compatriots here : )

Also, heard that you are also a big fan of LuisMi. It would be great to hear you belt out your own rendition of Hasta Que Me Olvides!

    Regards
    Fran

    Hello, Fran!

Re Australia and New Zealand, I just came from Australia last July, where I had two concerts–one in Melbourne and another in Sydney. Too bad you didn’t know about those! I’d love to be able to visit New Zealand…I hear it’s beautiful!

I am a big fan of Luis Miguel. Hasta Que Me Olvides is a great song, and his version of Somos Novios is one of the reasons why I recorded it in my last CD.

Thanks for your post, and I hope to hear from you again!

  3. Giovanni Dungan Says:

    Hello Raymond,

One of the best song I love is when you sing “Farewell to you my friend, We’ll see each other again…” Eversince then I always sing that song to my friends who have gone in to far away places. For me it is the best song about friendship, love and hope.

Now once again one of my very best friend is leaving us, our company, for a very good reason. She is Crizel. Crizel taught us a lot of lesson in life, even though we had a diverse faith. She showed us how strong she is when not just once but twice she had a miscarriage and continued to go on her life and even surpassed all of us in her endeavor, until one day God had given her the most beatiful gift she had ever had – and that was Caloy, now a strong boy. Whenever we need a shoulder to cry on – she is always there to listen and gives advice that prayer and faith makes us stronger in difficult times.

We will be giving her sa simple salo-salo maybe at the last week of May and I thought it would be the best if I could invite you to sing to her personally the song. We would highly appreciate if you could come to her simple despedida. I know Sir you had a professional fee for such an occasion and surely your heart would be kind enough – Crizel dont know that we are getting the finance out of our personal pockets. We hope the best for Crizel in her new chosen path.

We wish you all the best.

    Hello Raymond,

Frankly, I don’t know anything about you.. But it happens that i accidentally watched your concert in studio 23, and I REALLY LIKE IT!.. I started to appreciate classic romance music from then on. I just hope that you’ll made an album with the same music.

    Thanks and God bless always!

  5. dondi bajar Says:

    Hi,

I’ve been trying to find guitar chords of your song Saan Darating ang Umaga but have not found any up to now. Would you be kind enough to email me the chords?

    Thanks a lot!

  6. Fran Says:

    Dear Mr Lauchengco

That is a real shame I did not know about your concerts in Oz : (
Anyway, it’s great to know my childhood idol also likes my latino idol, the great (of course not as great as you!) Luis Miguel. It’s also wonderful to know that both you and LuisMi are blessed with little bundles of joy this year. I look forward to you singing more Spanish ballads, and indeed, Somos Novios is a wonderful song. My personal prefence however is the Aries album (4 ballads that I can imagine you belting out!). Gracias por su atencion.

    Fran

  7. raymondlauchengco Says:

Bani, I’m so sorry I only hooked up my computer a few days ago and didn’t see your email till then. I hope you were able to have a wonderful sendoff for Crizel!

Hi Dianne, thank you very much for your kind words!

Hi Dondi, unfortunately, I don’t have the chords to Saan Darating ang Umaga :(

Hi again, Fran! There’s a possibility I’ll be performing in Oz (Darwin) in late August, although all that is still up in the air. If you know of producers in your area, we might be able to do something where you are. :)

  14. mini ignacio Says:

    Hi Raymond!

It’s been years! Yes, and you probably won’t remember me at all. We were classmates in UP, English 1 (Palma Hall Annex). But, the summer before that school year, I developed this huge-huge crush on you. One HS classmate (who had a brother graduate from the same HS you went to, I think) showed me your batch’s yearbook. I was able to get your home phone no.! It took me days to deliberate, but I finally won over my nerves and dialed your no…. You were really nice enough to talk to me that time, and even though I was (sort of) hyperventilating with the excitement and the nervousness, you gave a hearty laugh and told me to, “Relax!” Obviously, I never forgot that moment! :) …So, naturally, it was a great shock to find out when school started that you were actually going to be my classmate! First day in the class, I was seated behind you, and was never ever so high and so nervous at the same time in my whole life until that moment. I swear that when it was time to introduce myself to the class, I was “boses-ipis!” I just couldn’t bring out my voice! Strangely though, when I explained how I got my nickname (“Mini” from the word “miniature”), you laughed! OMG! You heard! I was ready to cry (inside!), you know. I was never so self-conscious in my whole life as in that moment! …So you can imagine how it was for me to go to that class that whole sem! I took advantage of our “connection,” too! :) I asked for your autograph on that very first LP (yep, no CDs yet!) you made — well, indirectly, of course! I had one of our classmates ask you for me! I thought it could be done “quietly” (with me remaining anonymous) until you had to ask her who was asking for that autograph. Cielit (her name; haven’t seen her since leaving UP) pointed at me (she pointed at me with her lips!)… Then you came closer (Oh, Lord!) and told me you were “touched” that I bought your LP. And, you signed it with my name on it! …Then I went on to buy the Bagets LP, and during a promotional performance with the Bagets group at the lobby of CAL, I asked someone to get that other autograph from you…

Flash forward… Have been living in the US for 12 years now, and even though I am not always up-to-date with showbiz happenings, I try to keep myself in the loop by asking friends in Manila and by surfing the web. It is by chance that I found this web site. Am so happy that your career is still going strong. A few years back, my brother sent me an Ogie Alcasid CD and I was so elated to discover you were the photographer for the cover shots. I actually remember thinking how nice it was that you’ve pursued another artistic outlet, but that I wished you would go back to singing. :)

Then about two years ago (I think), my former co-worker in SanMigCorp scanned pages of your wedding article from a local magazine and e-mailed them to me. I was so happy then for you (both of you)! I AM so happy for all the great things happening to you and your growing family!

Even though I may have outgrown (!?) that big crush on you, rest assured that I’ll always be a devoted fan! (I am happily married myself, working fulltime, and raising two kids, ages 10 and 8, here in the East Coast.) I sincerely wish you and Mia all the best in everything! Hope you keep this web site updated. I’d love to see pictures of your baby one day…

    Thank you for this opportunity…

    Warmest regards,
    Mini

PS: Those signed LPs are still in my parents’ house! Treasured things! :)

  15. Joey Carmona Says:

    Hi Raymond!!!

I’m a big big fan!!!! Just wanna know how I can get a copy of your Rated R album and the New Every Morning album…. So far I only have the vicor recordings and I would like to complete my collection.

    Thanks!

  16. raymondlauchengco Says:

Hi Mini! Wow! You’ve got a great memory. It’s been 25 years since then (ok, let’s keep quiet about how old we are) so I am offering my sincere, albeit belated, apology for embarrassing you that day in English class :) Glad to hear from you and that you still have the LPs! I don’t think I have mine anymore.

Best regards to you and your family and thank you for the very kind words.

Hello, Joey! Thank you! Unfortunately I don’t think you’ll be able to find those albums anymore as they haven’t been in production for a while. Get nalang my new album!

  17. Joey Carmona Says:

i will get naman din your new album eh… kaso ganda sana kung complete……

    ok ka… ok ka…….

  18. RSC Says:

Hi Raymond! Well, i consider myself as a big fan of you since the day I heard your song “Farewell” sometime in 2002. I ask my sis whos this guy singing and when she said its you I say “Ah sya pala yun? I was only 4 during bagets days’ so i hardly remember. Anyway I bought your vicor collection the same day, and since then i never miss a day not listening to your great great contribution to music. From then on I keep on searching more of your songs and Im glad to say I have most of your songs from 45’s, LP’s, cassettes and your even you latest CD! (except for Dreamboy and the one with Regine). Im still searching for those so if anyone from here could share I’ll be very delighted! To all Raymond’s fans Im glad to share what i have here. Just text me at 09054199716 and I’ll send MP3 format of those out of production albums.

To Raymond and Mia. I am very sure you’ll be very good parents to you little angel. May God bless your family.

  19. jared Says:

    Hello Raymond,

Man, I just did a search for your name in the ‘net, and boy I’m glad you have a website. Your songs “Farewell” and “So It’s You” brings back so many memories — bittersweet to say the least, but the songs are just awesome classics.

I’ve heard newer versions of your songs out there, and I haven’t heard one that holds up to your performance! You rock!

Do you sell any Karaoke versions of “So It’s You” and “Farewell” available to buy and download?

    Congratulations on your new baby!

    Jared

  20. raymondlauchengco Says:

Hi Joey! Sorry talaga, don’t know how to help you out there–maybe the record companies would have them? I really doubt it, though.

Hi RSC–well maybe you’re the person Joey is looking for! I guess sending out MP3 formats of the out-of-production albums is alright…but please don’t send out the songs from my last two albums (Raymond Lauchengco by Vicor Music and Full Circle by Viva Records)! They’re very reasonably priced–about the same cost as two Starbucks frappuccinos! Thanks for your kind words, I’m glad to know that people are still discovering my music (even if they were only 4 years old when Bagets came out–it makes me feel so old!). Yes, Mia and I pray that we be the parents God wants us to be for Natalie. God bless you, too.

Thanks, Jared! I don’t sell Karaoke versions of my songs, but you might find them in record bars. Thanks!

  21. Jet Ganda Says:

Hi Kuya Raymond! I love your diction and your musicality! When I read about you and your achievements, I have become one of your admirers! Keep up the good work, Kuya Raymond! We love you!

  22. clarence tuvera Says:

Hello Raymond. I am a fan since your “Bagets” days. I love your music, and I liked your movies. But I liked you most as that “Good Man Charlie Brown.” You were good! Very good! You should have played Les Miserables when Rep decided to play it. Your sister was good as Fantine. I saw you in church once, at the former Lord of Glory Christian Ministries where Pastor Joey Zabarte was once the head Pastor. I think it was 1998, that was. i wanted to walk up to you and ask for your autograph, but I figured that would be a lousy thing to do at Church. Anyways, its good to see you have a new album. Congratulations. And maligayang sentinyal sa isang ka-peyups.

  23. raymondlauchengco Says:

    Hi Jet, thanks so much!

Hi Clarence–your mention of Bagest and Charlie Brown shows your age (and mine!), haha! Nice to know I’m appreciated by a fellow ka-peyups!
