My new album has taken me full circle

Finally!

The album has found a home in Viva Records.  I kid you not, it took less than one week from a phone call from Vincent del Rosario indicating Viva’s interest in the album to the signing of contracts making me an official Viva Recording artist.

I’m not sure if I mentioned this before, but the album’s concept is music from the 80s (most probably the decade you like to identify me with) reworked to sound like standards (the music that I’ve fallen in love with).  Hence, the working title, ‘Full Circle’.

But now, that title takes on a whole new meaning.  Being back in Viva means going back to where I started.  It was Vic del Rosario who first signed me up as a recording artist and got me to appear in movies back in the 80s…almost a quarter of a century later (that sounds longer than it actually is, I promise) it’s his son Vincent who signed me up again.  And Boss Vic’s daughter, Veronique Corpus, is now my co-manager.

Glad to be back.

As for the album release, looks like the launch is happening almost simultaneously with the arrival of our little one (October).  What can I say?  It’s been a most incredible year.
